From a Far (o bellter)
This series of exhibitions is an ongoing project, the images bellow are from the first and second edition (2024&2025).
This series of exhibitions are cultivated through the slow work of observing and discreetly collecting items from someone very close to me. This process has been a nurturing of an intense fascination with another's 'mundane’ life and transforming their discarded scraps into art, something that becomes almost worshipped (by me at least).
My initial deep attachment came from my reading of the novel “The Museum of Innocence” by Orhan Pamuk. A depiction of longing, devotion, and adoration from afar. Completely inspired by the behaviour exhibited in the novel, I became enticed by the notion of collecting remnants and allowing myself to hold someone so dear without their acknowledgment. This uncanny closeness has manifested itself into an obsession of observation. Driven by a yearning to immerse myself in another’s life without want or need for communication or formality. Gathered here is that which I hold dearest from this ritual.
